FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to an electroluminescent device (10) containing a substrate and an electrode over the substrate, an opposing electrode and a set of luminescent layers with at least one organic electroluminescent layer (50) placed between the substrate electrode (20) and the opposing electrode (30) and means (90) for sealing of at least the set of electroluminescent layers, at that the electroluminescent device (10) contains at least one contact (60) intended for electric contact of the opposing electrode (30) with a power supply source. The invention discloses that at least one protective means (70) is placed at the substrate electrode (20), herewith the protective means (70) is non-conductive and covers the area for the contact (60) fully.
EFFECT: invention provides manufacturing of electroluminescent device where short-circuiting is prevented.
