FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroluminescent device 10. It comprises substrate 40, electrode 40 arranged thereat, counter-electrode 30 and stack of electroluminescent layer with at least one organic electroluminescent layer 50. The latter is arranged between said substrate electrode 20 and said counter-electrode 30. It incorporates encapsulation device to encapsulate at least of stack of electroluminescent layer, at least one separator 80, 80' to divide at least said counter-electrode into multiple electrically isolated counter-electrode segments 110, 110', 110''. Protective insulator 70 is arranged under said separator at said substrate electrode 20. Said insulator features the length larger than said separator and is shaped so that edge blockage is prevented.
EFFECT: flexible and simple production, reliable operation.
