SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of instrumentation and is intended for application in machine building for identification (recognition) of heated metal and nonmetal and non-heated nonmetal items. Device comprises sensitive element formed by inductive sensitive element arranged in the form of inductance coil placed in annular groove of ferrite core open end with central hole and capacitance sensitive element installed inside the central hole of ferrite core coaxially to this hole, and two infrared photodetectors, between which inductive and capacitance sensitive elements are installed . Whenever heated metal or non-metal item is moved relative to device sensitive element, it subsequently passes by the first infrared photodetector, crosses electromagnet field of inductive sensitive element, interacts with electrical field of capacitance sensitive element and passes by the second infrared photodetector. At that at the first outlet of device signal is processed with level of logical "1", which carries information about identification of heated metal or nonmetal item, and at the second outlet of device voltage is available with level of logical "0". Whenever non-heated nonmetal item is displaced, signal with the level of logical "1", which carries information about their identification, is processed only at the second outlet of device, and voltage is available at the first outlet of device with the level of logical "0".
EFFECT: expansion of technological resources by provision of control over non-heated nonmetal items together with heated metal and nonmetal items and improved reliability by elimination of false actuations from foreign sources of infrared radiation.
