FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves treating a mixture of coal tar with petroleum tar or black oil with air in the field of hydropercussion-cavitation pulses. The mixture is further subjected to ultrasonic treatment at 120-400°C and frequency of hydropercussion-cavitation pulses of up to 200 000 pulses per second. The coal tar and the petroleum tar or the coal tar and the black oil are mixed in ratio of 90:10 to 10:90. During treatment, air is fed into the mixture in amount of 2-6 l/min*kg mixture.
EFFECT: low content of the compound in the finished coal tar and enabling monitoring of quality properties of the coal tar binder.
