FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: third port is localised on a midclavicular line 4 cm below a costal arch. A patient's somatotype is determined. If the patient is found to have the dolichomorphic somatotype, the first port is located 2 cm below the omphalus along the mid-line. The second port is found at the interface of the upper and middle one-third of a distance of a xiphoid appendix and the omphalus 2 cm to the left from the mid-line. The fourth port is found on the anterior axillary line 3 cm below the omphalus. For the patients having the mesomorphic somatotype, the first port is located 2 cm above the omphalus along the mid-line. The second port is found at the interface of the upper and middle one-third of the distance of the xiphoid appendix and the omphalus along the mid-line. The fourth port is found on the anterior axillary line at the level of the omphalus. For the patients having the brachymorphic somatotype, the first port is located 5 cm above the omphalus along the mid-line. The second port is found at the interface of the upper and middle one-third of the distance of the xiphoid appendix and the omphalus 2 cm to the right from the mid-line. The fourth port is found on the anterior axillary line 3 cm above the omphalus.

EFFECT: method for the surgical approach provides performing the laparoscopic cholecystectomy taking into account the individual patient's somatotype.
