FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: use: invention relates to submarine weapons, particularly, to protection against wide-range mines-torpedoes. Proposed method comprises detection and determination of angular coordinates in hydrophone mode of torpedo launched from launching container and guided to submarine. Torpedo is classified, fire data are generated to fire the device with jet projectiles. Set device moves to preset point whereat said jet projectiles are launched. Epicentres of blasts are uniformly distributed in limited water space around precalculated impact point of torpedo and device by setting the curtain of power field of jet projectile blasts at torpedo path in solid angle with its vertex facing the submarine and confined by truncated cone surface with axis aligned with noise source direction, Note here that the centre of mirror axis is aligned with said impact point. Distance from submarine to torpedo is defined by active sonar. Note also that probing signal radiation and reception of signal reflected from torpedo (sonar) are performed with the help of narrow-beam antennas with acoustic axes set to torpedo predefined by noise location.

EFFECT: simplified process, higher efficiency of protection.
