FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: method to measure flow rate of a two-phase flow of loose dielectric material transported by air in a metal pipeline involves passing of the flow through electric field and conversion of measuring signals into digital ones, the electric field is directed perpendicular to the flow via dielectric ports in the pipeline, a light wave passing through an amplitude optic light modulator is amplitude chopped by polarisation currents of dielectric material, its intensity is registered, after the conversion of the measuring signals into digital ones, the elementary mass of the material in the measuring volume is defined as well as mass of material for the transportation time by cyclic addition of elementary masses, then mass and volume flows of material for the transportation period are determined.

EFFECT: simplified method and higher measurement accuracy.
