FIELD: automatic control systems.

SUBSTANCE: use for automatic control and measurement of humidity of two-phase flow of loose dielectric materials moved by air through a pipeline. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the method of measuring moisture content of a two-phase flow of loose dielectric material, which is moved by air through a pipeline, includes passing a stream through an electric field and converting measurement signals into a digital form, electric field is directed downstream through the capacitors of the measuring capacitor of the dielectric insert in the pipeline, the light wave amplitude-modulated by the polarization currents of the dielectric material, passing through the amplitude optical light modulator, recording its intensity, after conversion of measured signals into digital form, determining moisture content of elementary mass of transported material for given time interval – measurement cycle relative to reference material, average moisture content relative to reference material during transportation and true moisture of analysed material.

EFFECT: simple method and high measurement accuracy.
