FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: newborn's erythrocyte membranes of umbilical blood are examined for the content of gamma-linoleic acid by gas chromatography. If the acid content is within the range of 0.01 to 4.63 mg/l, developing atopic dermatitis is predicted in the infants.
EFFECT: using the declared method enables providing more accurate prediction of developing atopic dermatitis.
