SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and a method of identifying ethyl glucuronid in dry blood stains, according to which a sample of biosubstrate is prepared and performing its chromatography-spectrometric analysis with recording of a mass spectrometer signal in the form of a profile of peaks of analysed substances on a chromatogram with subsequent determination of the affinity of each peak to the analysed substance and comparison with reference analytical characteristics of the desired substance, where to prepare a biosubstrate sample for chromatography-spectrometry analysis from a starting material in the form of a dry blood spot on a soft carrier, a circle with diameter of 1.5 cm is cut, followed by grinding or from the surface of the initial material in the form of a dry blood stain on a solid carrier, a dry blood spot with diameter 1 is scraped, 5 cm, and placing the biosubstrate sample in a vial or a test tube, adding 1.0 ml of methanol, shaking on vibromixer for 2 minutes and transferring the organic layer into a dry clean vial, evaporating to dryness in an air current at 40–60 °C, 100 mcl of deionised water is added to the dry residue, centrifuged for 5 minutes at 14,000 rpm and 5 mcl of the obtained supernatant is introduced into a chromatograph.

EFFECT: invention provides higher sensitivity and accuracy of ethyl glucuronid determination in dry blood stains.
