SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modular system for beverage production of portioned ingredients put in capsule or detachable container. System for beverage production of portioned ingredients put in capsule or detachable container includes base unit (1) for example with detachable water reservoir (12) of large capacity, standalone module (2) for beverage preparation with extraction head (4). The module is connected to base unit (1) with possibility to be disconnected to be able to go from stand-alone use mode to mode of use when it is connected with base unit (1). The standalone module (2) contains connecting means (27, 27a) of water inlet. The standalone module (2) and base unit (1) contain aligning positioning means (5a, 5b), respectively, which interact when beverage preparation module (2) and base unit (1) are coupled (1). Also, the system contains alternative water feed means (11, 29, 36) and connecting means (28, 32, 36a) of water outlet, designed for attachment to water inlet connecting means (27) of module (2) to supply it with water when it is in standalone use mode.

EFFECT: invention aims to decrease resting surface, to improve portability and independence of the first module for beverages relative to base unit to which the module for beverages can be connected.
