SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in multiposition radio systems to determine coordinates of radio-frequency sources. The method comprises receiving a signal of a radio-frequency source using spaced-apart reception and processing centres, having a common control centre, connected to each other by command links and analogue signal relay lines. Each reception and processing centre measures the signal-to-noise ratio. The measurement results are transmitted to the control centre and compared with each other. Based on the comparison results, the solution of the task of calculating coordinates via combined processing of radio signals is assigned to the reception and processing centre with the lowest signal-to-noise ratio.

EFFECT: high accuracy of calculating coordinates of a radio-frequency source.
