DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR CEREBRAL FUNCTIONAL STATE ACCORDING TO HEALTH LEVEL Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B5/484

Abstract RU 2521345 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: cognitive endogenous responses in the frontal central brain to audio stimulation are recorded. Two types of tone flips of the intensity of 50 to 100 dB - essential and non-essential ones with the frequency of 1,000 Hz are supplied. Besides, a person being tested performs a speaking test in the form of counting the essential tone flips aloud. A latency and amplitude of the first, second and third negative peaks, as well as of the first, second and third positive peaks are recorded in both hemispheres. That is followed by processing the derived data at the analysis stage of 750-1,000 ms. An interhemispheric latency of a perception complex ( L ( P 1 N 1 P 2 ) I H ) , an interhemispheric amplitude of an endogenous wave P300 ( A P 300 I H ) and an interhemispheric amplitude of a cognitive complex ( L ( N 2 N 3 ) I H ) are determined. When L ( P 1 N 1 P 2 ) I H < 130 m s , A P 300 I H > 10 m c V and L ( N 2 N 3 ) I H > 200 m s , the cerebral functional state is diagnosed as good and the health level I; 130 m s L ( P 1 N 1 P 2 ) I H < 190 m s , 8 m c V A P 300 I H 10 m c V and 160 m s L ( N 2 N 3 ) I H 200 m s show the satisfactory cerebral state and the health level II; 190 m s L ( P 1 N 1 P 2 ) I H 320 m s , 5 A P 300 I H < 8 m c V and 140 L ( N 2 N 3 ) I H < 160 m s show the moderate cerebral disorder and the health level III; with L ( P 1 N 1 P 2 ) I H > 320 m s , A P 300 I H < 5 m c V and L ( N 2 N 3 ) I H < 140 m s , a considerable disorder of the cerebral functional state and the health level IV.

EFFECT: method provides more reliable diagnosis that is ensured by studying the cognitive induced potentials and mathematical analysis of the derived data.
