FIELD: medicine; neurology and occupational pathology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose the stages of cognitive impairment (CI) in workers involved in servicing agricultural machinery. The cognitive evoked potential P300 is determined with an assessment of changes in latent period indicators and the amplitude of evoked potentials. An ultrasound duplex scan of the brachiocephalic arteries is performed to identify wall-occlusive lesions and developmental anomalies in the arterial system of the brachiocephalic trunk, common carotid, internal carotid, vertebral arteries at the extracranial level. A biochemical blood test is performed to calculate the atherogenic index. The professional experience and age of the subjects are determined. All indicators are assessed in points. The sum of points is calculated. After this, the stages of CI are diagnosed: 1st preclinical stage, 2nd stage of mild CI and 3rd stage of moderate CI.
EFFECT: method provides increased diagnostic accuracy and simplification of the method due to the integral quantitative expression of changes in indicators of endogenous cognitive evoked potentials P300 in combination with ultrasound duplex scanning of the brachiocephalic arteries and biochemical examination of blood serum.
