FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to physiology, psychophysiology and neurology. Endogenous cognitive evoked potentials are recorded (EP), they are selected on the identified significant different stimuli with latent period (LP) of 300 ms. Component latent period LP P300 is determined. Working memory volume (WMV) is calculated by formula, in which the obtained values of the latent period are considered, maximum memory volume at minimum LP P300 which is equal to 14.6, and a slope index of the regression line WMV from LP P300, which is equal to 0.02.

EFFECT: method enables higher diagnostic reliability, that is ensured by using the obtained values of LP 300, as well as calculated values of maximum memory volume at minimum LP P300 and slope index of the line regression WMV from LP P300.
