SUBSTANCE: in a method of protection against corrosion of the welded pipe coupling with an inner coating, comprising removal of ends of the internal coating from the ends of the connected pipes at a distance at which the destruction of the coating material due to the influence of welding heat doesn't occur, sealing mastic application, installation of a backing sleeve between the pipe ends and pipe coupling by means of welding, the backing sleeve is installed, clad inside with a shell made of corrosion- resistant steel, the ends of which overhang over the ends of the backing sleeve, a portion of sealing mastic is moved by the ends of the backing sleeve and a gap between the ends of the pipes and shell made of corrosion-resistant steel, is filled with it.
EFFECT: increase of protection against corrosion of the welded pipe couplings with the internal coating.
