FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat power engineering. In an electric drive of a fan, which contains a blade turning mechanism, a blade support locking device, a blade turning angle sensor; with that, the blade turning mechanism is made in the form of internal and external end stators that are in magnetic contact with end rotors, which in their turn are kinematically connected to each other, internal and external stators are connected to frequency converters, and the blade turning angle sensor is made in the form of two magnetically connected vertical columns with coils with cores, which are arranged on a fixed base in the zone of blade end faces.
EFFECT: providing smooth regulation of rotation speed of a fan of a cooling tower with simultaneous change of blade inclination angles to improve reliability and increase service life of an electric drive of a forced cooling fan.
