SUBSTANCE: motor-fan unit has overhung induction motor and fan whose housing is built of two bearing shields rigidly fixed together to form central annular space; each shield accommodates inside its annular space one stator core with rotor core placed in-between; rotor shaft is built integral with fan impeller and is made in the form of sleeve whose outer surface mounts rigidly fixed annular rim carrying rotor core; inner surface of sleeve mounts impeller blades whose inner surfaces enclose outer surface of impeller cowling which is cone-shaped on air admission side, minimal air gap being provided between blades and cowling. EFFECT: reduced size and mass, enlarged functional capabilities, facilitated adjustment and maintenance, reduced manufacturing cost. 6 cl, 5 dwg
