FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: input device contains a sedimentation compartment connected to a sub in a pump receiver portion. A U-shaped intake channel is placed in it and its input is placed outside the sedimentation compartment. Below the sedimentation compartment there is a cup with openings in its upper part. The cross-section area between the intake channel and the cup is selected so that the maximum water flow rate in a downward direction in this cross-section can be twice more than the oil floating speed in water. The minimum volume of an inner space between the intake channel and the cup is not less than half of the volume of the liquid received by the pump at suction. The upper end of the input channel is placed at the level of the end of the U-shaped intake channel. Below the cup there are additional similar cups mounted, and their quantity is in direct relation of the pump capacity. The input channel communicates with the lower part of each cup by means of the inlet calibrated port, which can maintain the equal speed from the respective cup to the intake channel. Over the calibrated port there is a filter. Between the sedimentation compartment and the cup the intake channel is equipped with an additional compartment to increase its length.
EFFECT: increased operational efficiency due to increase in operational stability in high-flow-rate wells and reliability during operation with high-viscous oil.
