FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer-aided simulation of objects for solution of problems of parts classification by machinability groups and preliminary selection of cutting tools for their processing. This invention allows classification of parts by machinability groups by their geometrical parameters. Proposed system consists in that this system is additionally connected to at least one external translator for connection to external subsystem for reception of the results of physical article-prototype to coordinate-measurement machine and connected to at least one external system of computer-aided designing.

EFFECT: accelerated construction of computer model of machined part, higher precision of classification by machinability groups.
