FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to form an intrastromal pocket (ISP) when implanting keratoprosthesis using femtosecond laser. Donor corneal is placed on an artificial anterior chamber (AAC), after the AAC mechanism is closed, it is filled with the medium for corneal conservation till the condition of corneal normotension. After performing the centeration and achieving the optimum corneal compression, femtodissection of the corneal is carried out, forming an intrastromal ring pocket, and then an entrance tunnel into it, corresponding to the implantable support of the keratoprosthesis. In this case, the depth of formation of the ISP is 600 micrometer, the outer diameter of the ISP is 8.2 mm, the internal diameter of the ISP is 8.0 mm, the width of the intrastromal tunnel is 5.7 mm, the angle of the plane of formation of the intrastromal tunnel in relation to the ISP – 90°. After the completion of the femtodissection stage, the corneal fixed in the AAC is placed under the operating microscope, the remaied collagenous bridges are separated with a thin spatula along the entire circle of the intrastromal pocket.
EFFECT: method provides the minimum risk of perforation of the deep corneal layers and reduces the risk of keratoprosthesis protrusion by forming a uniform ISP on the donor's corneal, the advantage of which is the controlled depth and the optimal profile of the incision.
