FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: oral mucosa is horizontally incised at the interface of a gum and a mobile part of the oral vestibular mucosa. The mucosa is separated from a complex of submucosal tissue at a depth of 5-7 mm. A mucous flap separated from a line of the horizontal incision to the jaw is drawn down to the deep of the newly formed oral vestibule, and a free end of the mucous flap is anchored to the periosteum with a flat continuous suture. Catgut is used as a suture material. A tampon or protective dressing is applied on a wound surface.
EFFECT: by using the flat continuous suture, the method enables reducing the time of postoperative wound healing, reducing a probability of haematoma and mucosal surgical scar formation.
