FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patient's duration of diabetes mellitus and insulin therapy, height and weight are detected, and a body weight index is calculated. There are calculated coefficients, as follows: training in the Diabetes School, using a type of insulin, changing injection points, having a needle drop on completion of the injection, keeping the needle in subcutaneous fat during the injection, pain perception of the injection, as well as the maximum quantity of the one-needle injections. The derived data are used to calculate a diagnostic coefficient of lipohypertophy which is used to detect the presence thereof.
EFFECT: technique enables the non-invasive instant diagnosis of the presence of lipohypertophy in the diabetic patient.
