FIELD: surgery; oncoproctology.
SUBSTANCE: used to predict early failure of the colorectal anastomosis. The patient's gender, body mass index, degree of tumor invasion, level of anastomosis from the anus, the presence of diabetes mellitus, tumor length along the rectum, blood albumin level and the need for intraoperative blood transfusion are determined. After that, the number of suturings of the rectal stump with a linear stapler is determined intraoperatively. Depending on the results of the study, each indicator is assigned certain numerical values and the prediction coefficient for early failure of the colorectal anastomosis (K) is calculated using a given formula. And with K values of 10 or more, early failure of the colorectal anastomosis is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides increased reliability of predicting early failure of colorectal anastomosis by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
