When displaying the work area of the boom (524) of the simulated forest machine (520, 522) on the simulator of the forest machine (520, 522) the size of the part of the work area (530, 532, 536, 540, 542) of the simulated forest machine (520, 522) is determined. The displaying of the work area (530, 532, 536, 540, 542) of the simulated forest machine (520, 522) is carried out. The displaying of the work area (530, 532, 536, 540, 542) is connected with the simulated forest machine (520, 522) so that the displaying of the work area (530, 532, 536, 540, 542) moves from the simulated forest machine (520, 522). The displaying of the work area (530, 532, 536, 540, 542) is at least partially visible in the upper part of the simulated part of the area adjacent to the simulated forest machine. The displayings of the work area (530, 532, 536, 540, 542) are aligned with respect to the simulated part of the area with the orientation of the part of the simulated forest machine.
EFFECT: optimisation of training on the simulator is achieved.
