FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: method for radiolocation detection of targets is based on receipt of radiations from controlled directions, measurement of radiations parameters and decision on target detection, determination of targets angle coordinates with the help of a passive radiolocation station (PRLS), selection of radiation sources and receipt of information on the radiation source signal by the PRLS via the retransmitter positioned within the radiation source line-of-sight; according to the invention, one selects as the radiation source a radiolocation station positioned beyond the horizon (BHRLS), with known coordinates and emitted signals parameters, that exposes to radiation a controlled direction; one determines and memorises the moments of the PRLS receiving the BHRLS signals reflected by the targets, determines (the help of the retransmitter) the moment of the signal emission by the BHRLS and calculates the distance from the targets. Additionally proposed is a specifically designed facility for radiolocation detection of targets that implements the stated method.

EFFECT: measurement of distance from the detected remote target.
