FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ventriculoperitoneal bypassing is performed. The central end of a drainage system is inserted into the lateral ventricle of thecerebrum. The distal end is delivered subcutaneously under laparoscopic control through the falciform ligament of the liver into the right subphrenic space.
EFFECT: method enables reducing a rate of postoperative abdominal complications that is ensured by placing the distal catheter through the falciform ligament of the liver into the right subphrenic space eliminating a risk of a seal obturation of the bypassing system, reducing a probability of its mechanical occlusion by shortening and avoiding folds of the distal end of the bypassing system.
