FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: microneurosurgical suturing of a nerve is followed by specifying the most favourable position of an extremity to be fixed with a plaster cast taking into account the nerve injury with using a table presented in the description. On the first postoperative day, the plaster cast is changed by a rigid bandage, and an extremity is engaged into 10-15-minute passive motions towards an extreme position and back up to 5-8 times a day for 21 day.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the length of the extremity functional recovery, preventing developing joint contractures, normalising blood circulation and basal metabolism of the extremity that is ensured by activating the extremity on the first postoperative day.
