FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-catalytic oxidative desulfurisation of hydrocarbon fuels containing DBT by aldehyde/molecular oxygen system. It comprises oxidative desulfurisation by forcing oxygen-containing gas into reaction mix. Benzaldehyde is used as aldehyde while air is used as oxygen-containing gas. Oxidative desulfurisation is conducted at the room temperature at illumination of reaction mix by UV light and DBT:benzaldehyde molar ratio of 1:15-20.Besides, it relates to oxidative desulfurisation performed by forcing oxygen-bearing gas into reaction mix. Benzaldehyde is used as aldehyde while air is used as oxygen-containing gas. Oxidative desulfurisation is conducted at the temperature of at 40-70°C and DBT:benzaldehyde molar ratio of 1:15-20.
EFFECT: accelerated oxidation, hence simplified process, higher safety, lower costs.
