FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises cylinder (1) with piston (2) and rod (17) articulated with the latter. Racks are arranged on both sides of piston stroke and have flat bearing surfaces as well as two symmetric crank gears (3, 4) with parallel shafts. Said shafts run in synchronism in opposite directions at equal rpm. Both con-rods (6, 8) on crankshaft journals are articulated by their opposite ends with two toothed crossbars (9, 10). Both ends of the latter are provided with sectors of gears (13-16) and support rollers their diameter complying with gear sector pitch circle diameter. Two sectors of toothed cross-bars are engaged with piston rod racks (8). Support rollers of said sectors contact with the rack load-bearing surfaces. The other two toothed sectors of crossbars are engaged with racks (21, 23) of sliders (22, 24). Support rollers of said sectors contact with bearing surfaces of piston stroke variator. Said sliders (22, 24) are rigidly coupled by crosswise beam (25).
EFFECT: balanced variable forces of inertia and moments, killed lateral forces, higher engine reliability.
