SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of control of the print paper parameters. The method of determining transparency of flat light-transmitting print-receiving materials is based on the registration of the relative light flows reflected by the paper sample, which is first placed on a black substrate, then on a flat metal mirror, and the subsequent calculation of indicators of the paper transparency. After registration, the relative light flows are sequentially converted into a sequence of electrical signals with the formation of electronic images of the test material which are the tables of values of the coefficients of light reflection in N points uniformly located along the line, placed first on the black substrate, then on the flat metal mirror, and after the transformations of relative light flows the material light reflectance is determined, located on the black substrate, and the reflectance of the material on the mirror in N points uniformly located along the line, and the macroinhomogeneity of the test material is judged by the value of standard deviation of transparency.

EFFECT: improving the quality of control of transparency by identifying macroinhomogeneities of the printing paper.
