FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: mixture of wanted signal and noise specified by reflections from irregularities of a propagation medium is compressed in time, with the help of correction of phase spectrum. Then time selection of the compressed wanted signal is performed, and the identified signal is restored by reverse correction of phase spectrum. The main advantage of the proposed method for identification of the wanted signal on the background of reverberation noise compared to the method-prototype consists in the fact that the resulting signal keeps the initial shape, which provides for the possibility of complex usage of methods of measurement data processing. In practical measurements the method is proposed for use in tasks for searching sources of noise emission for detection of significance of paths of vibration propagation in vessel structures. Highest efficiency from application of the proposed method is expected in measurements of secondary acoustic fields under conditions of limited areas of water: lake conditions or conditions of hydroacoustic basins.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of assessment of parameters of a received acoustic signal under conditions of impact of a reverberation noise.
