FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting devices in radio engineering, particularly an ultraviolet quartz lamp, and can be used in ultraviolet devices and process systems which require an ultraviolet radiation source, for example electronics, spectroscopy and medicine. Said problem is solved due to that a lamp, whose envelope is made of quartz glass whose outer surface is coated with a selectively transmitting coating, is filled with an inert gas with a measured amount of mercury, with two electrode assemblies consisting of a combustion electrode and a starting electrode, wherein the combustion and starting electrodes are made of repeatedly coiled spiral with a coating which reduces the electronic work function, the electrode assemblies are turned by 180° relative to each other, the inner surface of the envelope of the lamp is coated with a protective coating, and the outer surface of the envelope the lamp of the electrode portion is further coated with a reflecting coating of zirconium dioxide.
EFFECT: eliminating said shortcomings, high radiation power, longer service life of the lamp, high stability of radiation and providing stable switching on and operation at low temperatures.
