METHOD OF CONTROL OVER WINDMILL ROTOR BLADES WITH VERTICAL ROTARY SHAFT Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC F03D7/06

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power engineering. Proposed method consists in locating of windmill blades generating the torque at wind pressure relative to rotor vertical shaft with maximum aerodynamic resistance and in locating of rotor blades not generating the torque at wind pressure relative to rotor vertical axis with minimum aerodynamic resistance. Every blade of the rotor is equipped with vertical shaft and position retainer. Blade is fitted on vertical shaft in bearing assy with the shift relative to equilibrium axis so that resultant torque of rotor blade is other than zero at wind pressure. Blade spatial position is fixed at the beginning of torque generation by said blade relative to rotor vertical axis. Fixation of the blade spatial position relative to rotor vertical axis is withdrawn at termination of torque generation by said blade to change said blade to feathering state.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
