FIELD: rescue equipment.
SUBSTANCE: life float comprises a rigid housing (1) in the form of volumetric figure in an orthogonal coordinate system XYZ with a notional plane defined by axes of XY coordinates so that the maximum size of the housing in the direction of the axes of X and Y coordinates exceeds its maximum size in the direction of the axis of Z coordinates. The housing is filled with material that provides buoyancy of the float. In the housing (1) there is a through hole (5) in the direction perpendicular to the notional plane of the housing, designed for the passage of line. The housing is provided with handles (4) evenly spaced along its perimeter. The housing is made in the form of a plate symmetrical with respect to the coordinate axis Z, which is the rotational axis of the housing, and a through hole is located along the rotational axis of the housing. In the housing the weighting is mounted, located symmetrically relative to the rotational axis of the housing.
EFFECT: improved aerodynamic properties of the float, ensuring its stability in flight at throwing.
