DUAL-PURPOSE LASSO CATHETER WITH IRRIGATION Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B18/14 A61B5/42 A61N1/05

Abstract RU 2526964 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to systems for heart mapping and ablation, in particular to Lasso catheter for application in system of heart mapping and ablation. Catheter contains introduced tube, which has distal end, and resilient distal section, attached to distal end of introduced tube. Distal section has external surface and internal irrigation cavity and contains multitude of electrodes, which project above external surface. Electrodes have multitude of perforation holes, formed in them. External surface is in connection via flowing medium with irrigation cavity through perforation holes. Electrodes have rounded shape and are made in form of cup, have thickening up to 1 mm above external surface and are elongated by more than 25-270% of length of external surface circumference. Said catheter is applied for determination of location of arhythmogenic region in heart of living object.

EFFECT: invention ensures carrying out quality and safe ablation due to local cooling and prevention of adhesion in the process of ablation and exactness of place of arhythmogenic zone ablation.
