FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technique, namely to devices for determining position and measuring pressure. Catheter for use with a catheterization system, having a plurality of magnetic field generators, each of which generates a magnetic field of position data, comprises a flexible nipple, distal portion adapted to contact a tissue of a patient which comprises a proximal portion, distal portion and a flexible hinge between the proximal portion and the distal portion, distal magnetic field generator located in one of the proximal and distal portions, wherein the magnetic field generator of the distal portion is configured to generate a magnetic field and convert it to pressure data, set of measuring coils located in the other of the proximal and distal portions, wherein at least one measuring coil of the plurality of measuring coils is configured as a position sensor, and at least one of the other measuring coils of the plurality of measuring coils is configured as a pressure sensor, wherein at least one measuring coil of the plurality of measuring coils is configured to measure each magnetic field and recalculate it into position data and each magnetic field and its recalculation into pressure data and with the possibility of generating signals representing data, referring to the position of the distal department, and data relating to the pressure exerted on the distal department upon contact with the patient's tissue, wherein at least one measuring coil of the plurality of measuring coils has a corresponding cable connected thereto, which is configured to transmit signals for signal processing. In a second embodiment, the catheter comprises at least three mutually perpendicular measuring coils, at least one of at least three mutually perpendicular measuring coils is made in the form of a pressure sensor, and at least one other of at least three mutually perpendicular measuring coils is configured as a position sensor, each of at least three mutually perpendicular measuring coils is configured to determine each magnetic field and its recalculation into position data and each magnetic field and its recalculation into pressure data and the creation of signals representing data related to the position of the distal section, and data relating to pressure exerted on the distal portion upon contact with the patient tissue, each of at least three mutually perpendicular measuring coils having a respective cable, connected to it, configured to transmit signals for signal processing.
EFFECT: use of invention provides extension of the arsenal of means for determining position and measuring pressure by means of a catheter.
