FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method includes laser Doppler flowmetry using a probe operating through an infrared channel established directly on the surface of the polyp. The microcirculation changes are analysed based on a graphical recording. A factor I is calculated using an original mathematical formula. For a value I=9.5(±0.5) units, a urethral polyp associated with urogenital infections is diagnosed, and for values I=7.5(±0.5) units, a urethral polyp of non-infectious causes is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables to accurately evaluate the state of microcirculation in urethral polyps for early detection of haemodynamic and microcirculatory disorders associated with a pathologic process in the mucous lining of the urethra, determine the type of microcirculatory disorders, correctly choose pathogenetic therapy, which reduces the number of complications and relapses.
