FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises piston 1 arranged in cylinder 3 and connected by rod 5 and pin 4 of converter 8 with output shaft 8, shaft centreline being perpendicular to lengthwise axis of piston 1. Mechanism 8 includes cylinders 10 and 11 aligned in piston axis and connected by pins 9 to spin therein. Cylinders 10 and 11 are engaged via bevel gears 21 and 22 with shaft 6. Rod 5 features triangular profile to run bearings 18 and 19 that prevent turn of rod 5 about its axis. Sine-shape slit 20 is made in inner cylinder 11.
EFFECT: simplified design of converter, higher ICE reliability.
