FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method and system of repeated supply of vehicles' braking energy and delivering of the energy into the contact network. The braking energy regenerated from the electric motor during braking is redelivered into the power system through the contact network lines. The braking energy can be transferred to a bidirectional electric substation and come back into the electric public utility. The braking energy can also be transmitted to the auxiliary energy accumulation system such as the system based on supercapacitors or on accumulators. Installation of contact network lines for mining trucks at descending downhill can be used to capture and reuse the braking energy in great quantities.
EFFECT: decrease of electric energy consumption by the vehicles.
