REDUCED PEAK ENERGY DEMAND FOR MINE CARTS USING ON-BOARD ENERGY ACCUMULATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC B60L7/14 B60L9/22 B60L11/12

Abstract RU 2555084 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to power supply systems of mine carts. The method of power supply to an electric motor of a transportation vehicle includes a charge for the system accumulating energy from the electric motor at breaking; delivery of electric power to the electric motor at motion using electric power from the on-board energy accumulation system and overhead contact supply system; monitoring of power supplied from the overhead contact supply system to the electric motor; determining whether power supplied from the overhead contact is bigger than power limit and power supply from the energy accumulation system when power supplied form the overhead contact is bigger than the power limit defined by a user. The system for implementation of the method includes an on-board electric energy accumulation system and inverter. The system also contains a controller for electric power supply to the electric motor only from the overhead contact when power withdrawn by the motor is less or equal to power limit and limit of power supply to the motor from the overhead contact and electric energy accumulation system when power withdrawn by the motor is more than the power limit.

EFFECT: optimising power distribution.
