OPHTHALMIC LENS STRUCTURE FOR MYOPIA CONTROL Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G02C7/04 A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2528592 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic lens for myopia delay comprises a central optical area, a peripheral area surrounding the optical area, and an edge area surrounding the peripheral area. A lens power profile in the central optical area gradually increases from the lens power required for the far vision correction to the lens power at least 0.5 dioptres more positive than the lens power required for the far vision correction. The lens power profile has its maximum in the central optical area. The lens power in the peripheral area has a value required for the far vision correction, or has a profile produced by an extrapolation of the lens power profile of the central optical area.

EFFECT: delayed myopia progression.
