OPHTHALMIC LENS STRUCTURE FOR MYOPIA CONTROL Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G02C7/04 A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2580210 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of creating a lens structure for controlling and slowing down myopia progression includes: obtaining wave front data converting the wave front data into the radial map of optical power; constructing the optical power profile of the lens, which includes correction factors for near and far vision, obtained based on the wave front data and the pupil size. The correcting factor for near vision is bounded by the central region, which is an optical zone with the diameter which corresponds to the pupil size, which holds when measuring the wave front with a near field stimulus. The correcting factor for far vision is located outside the said inner central region. The optical power profile is calculated by averaging on all meridians to obtain an axially symmetric shape.

EFFECT: slowing down myopia progression.
