LENS DESIGN WITH TREATMENT AREA HAVING GREAT POSITIVE OPTICAL FORCE AND METHOD OF PREVENTION AND/OR INHIBITION OF MYOPIA PROGRESSION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2627630 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group includes an ophthalmic lens and a method of its application. At that, the lens contains a central area with a negative optical power for myopia correction; and at least one treatment area surrounding the central area and having an optical force profile that continuously increases from the outer edge of the central area to a positive value within at least one treatment zone that exceeds the optical power in the central area by at least 5 D, at a distance from 3.0 mm to 4.5 mm from the lens center, and then remains constant up to the optical area boundary.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to restrain progression or slow down the development of myopia.
