FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tension compensator with brake function including at least primary shaft 10 and shell 20 that turn relative to each other. Either primary shaft (10) or shell (20) can be engaged with tensioner (30). Resilient element is arranged between primary shaft (10) and shell (20) to create torque there between which develops reaction at tensioner (30). This compensator incorporates a brake mechanism. In case tension compensator gets in emergent state due to collapse of tensioner (30) the brake is actuated by gravity to perform braking function.
EFFECT: simplified design, high reliability, enhanced performances.
