SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. A humic derivative for use as a plant growth regulator contains silanol groups and is characterised by water-solubility in an alkaline medium and capacity for irreversible sorption on a solid substrate having -OH groups on the surface. Said derivative is obtained by reacting a humic substance with aminoalkoxysilane in an aqueous medium followed by distillation of the water and heating the product to 30-150°C. The humic substance used is a substance extracted from natural sources and the aminoalkoxysilane used is 3-aminopropyltrialkoxysilane or 1-aminohexamethylene-6-aminomethylenetrialkoxysilane.

EFFECT: invention improves stress resistance in plants.
