FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: calibration device receives input data of two reference images and multiple parallax data elements. The two reference images are captured by one of imaging devices at two locations. The parallax data are calculated using two reference images and two corresponding images based on positions of a plurality of characteristic points that are common for the reference image and the corresponding image for each pair. The two corresponding images are captured by one of imaging devices at the same locations. The parameter correction value is calculated based on the calculated parallaxes and parallax change values.
EFFECT: device searches for a plurality of characteristic points that are common for two reference images and calculates parallax and the parallax change value based on parallax data relating to the corresponding characteristic points on the two reference images for each of the characteristic points being searched for.
