METHOD FOR ASSESSING ACUTE SOMATIC PAIN Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2529793 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and anaesthesiology, and can be used for assessing a patient's posttraumatic acute somatic pain. That is ensured by measuring patient's blood cytokines: interleukin-2 (IL-2), pg/ml, interleukin-4 (IL-4), pg/ml and interleukin-6 (IL-6), pg/ml. Provided the two conditions are observed together: 110.03≤IL-2≤120.37, 127.57≤IL-4≤133.03 and 137.65≤IL-6≤148.75, a degree of pain sensitivity under the effect of a traumatic factor is considered to require prescribing narcotic analgesic.

EFFECT: presented method enables reliably assessing the acute somatic pain and avoiding the precautious prescription of the narcotic preparations.
