FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electrode system of the cathode plasma flux stabiliser includes coaxial cathode, anode and control electrode; in the interelectrode gap there is an auxiliary isolated electrode representing a hollow metal cylinder containing a slot along one generatrix through the whole length of the cylinder, which is coaxial to the electrode system, at that diameter of the cylinder is 3-8 diameter values of the cathode and its length is 0.6-0.8 length of the interelectrode gap.

EFFECT: improving stability of plasma flux and stability of current passage in the interelectrode gap thus ensuring essential reducing of switching time and increasing amplitude of discharge current.
