METHOD OF PRODUCING INERT GASEOUS MEDIUM Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B01J19/14

Abstract RU 2530134 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing an inert gaseous medium, which includes heating a mixture of feed gas and regeneration gas to catalytic reduction temperature, mixing with sulphur-free fuel in an amount which provides the required residual concentration of oxygen in the inert gaseous medium, catalytic reduction of free oxygen to obtain reduction gas which is divided into two portions, one of which is cooled by the mixture of feed gas and regeneration gas, and the other is cooled by throttled circulating portion of the separation gas.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an inert gaseous medium directly suitable for creating an inert atmosphere in closed process volumes or facilities, avoid the use of an internal combustion engine and obtain a steam condensate.
